  1. To be honest this is the perfect ending considering what the past few episodes had been showing. Imagine if A-Mai suddently had a memory lag and forgave the king, how pissed would the comment section be?

  2. Omg the drama jinx has hit again. This started so well, how did he end up such a backstabbing shit of a man!! He ended up the worst of all the bad guys in this drama. Are you telling me they couldn’t clear up one of the misunderstandings they had? When they had both been all in for so long, what a pointless relationship. I would have preferred Chang as the ML and kept Tang alive

  3. Mannnn I knew any drama casting Richards Wang as the SECOND ML would have an unsatisfying ending βœ‹πŸ˜€

  4. Woah…give it up for new Maquis Gang who took his whole army to come and confess his love to a woman! πŸ‘πŸ½
The devilishly handsome man in this whole drama land😍 At least he was consistent unlike our, I don’t even want to mention his name. Imagine a whole emperor, whatever deceitful proposition he inherited, he took it on and lost his army just because…! And saying they will have another ten years to build some more! W the actual F!πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
If Mai had been with him she would have assisted him to make the right choice as she has always been the one to help him out of a tight corner in the past. She built him up and helped him to get to where he is nowπŸ˜‚
I pity him because he is now lost forever as he has actually become a puppet emperor as his predecessors.πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

  5. I love the fact that A-mai doesn’t marry anyone in the end, her character is consistent all throughout this drama and doesn’t fall into the usual tropes that we know of. (But I still wish she’d end up with Chang Yuqing this man is HANDSOME)

  6. Whats the title got to do with all those lies and deceivements. It ended just like that and A-Mai is showing she will keep on going defending that fortress. She does have a plan there, but what it is…must be on another season, right!!!
The ending is a Suspence as it is….
Viewers are surprise, to just stop here….lolsss
You can rate this. I’m sure with no happy ending…this goes down in rating…Good Luck!

  7. This was one of the most disappointing wastes of time and money I’ve ever had to suffer thru from Cdramaland. I finished it because I was more than half way through and I had hope but nope still rubbish. We waited long enough to see the ML actually grow into his role as a useless coward who did nothing to really help the FL and then eventually just became a hindrance to her. He really even had the audacity to make her a concubine after the fact that he allowed himself to be manipulated into that marriage with the prime minister’s daughter. Honestly this was so bad it’s not even worth the energy it’s taking me to write this comment but here we are. I can’t believe someone actually put out the money to have this made.

  8. This should have been one of those 10 min, 20 episode series. πŸ™„ So disappointing.

So many lies told but never were most of them cleared up. Like did Mai’s father really behead CQ’s and he had a right to kill her father or was that another lie so the emperor could get it done to maintain peace for 10 years? Like who are we supposed to believe, a lying emperor or a lying PM? You know what I don’t even care anymore. Wait does that mean the ML’s dad was killed to appease Beimo too? πŸ€”

Man no one will ever know the real truth and maybe that is the hidden lesson to let the past go and live for the present and the future or you will be trapped by it forever. CQ said he would rather die at the end of his “sister”/”wish was my wife” than at the hand of the beimo emperor. Is ot because he knew he would have to kill Mai to do it or he knew completing those tasks in 3 days wasn’t possible?

I like that now she embraces the fact she is a woman and wears her hair half up and down. But they could have done her hair better. Smh. Man General Chang wants her so bad. Lol. I would have an affair with the general and let him court me and keep being stubborn to the emperor. This is the only ending that would make sense given what has happened. She is free, her wings returned to do as she pleases. Also the direction she was looking doesn’t seem to be the capital it looks like it could be Beimo.😏

The FL did a good job with her acting. She was believable as a man but also as a woman who got to dress like a woman after a decade of being a man. The crazy emperor was amazing in his part. I miss the guy who died for no reason. That is the reason Mai cut ties with the emperor. If that hadn’t happened it might have been possible for an illicit affair 5 or so years down the line. Now he has to continue on with a woman he doesn’t love and a job he doesn’t love. Lol

  9. I think she went back to ML, because she watched as his chariot was leaving. Second, Beimo is their countries enemy, she said no to ML2’s marriage proposal and she didn’t look back after riding off.

  10. Ok, what a dry episode. This was not well written. To watch all the way until the end for this another failure. Though the main characters lived this drama had nothing to do with fighting for love. You may have gotten a hint here and there but as far as fighting for love lol there was no fighting for love.

  11. How to have an unsatisfying drama. The ML is portrayed as not lover material almost from the first, The sexy 2ML hardly has screen time and the 3ML dies. I would like to have seen the ML written as deserving to be the endgame.
