Whether it’s dream or not …I just can’t wait for next week🤩 ….qian also start to feel the environment… hoping to get more cheesy scenes 😅
I think he was dreaming because there’s no way he’s that bold yet, even though he’s impatient. I don’t think ZhiYuan is that confident that Qian has feelings for him… yet. But to someone on the outside looking in like their friend, it’s not hard to see the tensions building between them.😏
I am still not sure how I feel about this but I can’t wait to see how Big Bro handles all this pent up emotion from ZhiYuan.

Aaahhh…after so many days i felt the butterflies . I came here straight from watching DFF, to lighten my head.
Lol not Yuan becoming jealous from a film star. And on the other hand Qian is trying hard so that Yuan will tell him that he’s a Gay, will share his secret…he’s trying so hard to spend some time so that he will confide , so that he wants him to know that he will be accepted.
By the way did the third guy suspected something during birthday, he blinked his eyes vigorously looking at Yuan..he knows!
When Qian saw the novel, I was surprised to see that he wasn’t too shocked to see two men on the cover page, maybe he knows Juan is interested in men? Hence, he asked him about the class monitor guy. He might’ve thought that the person Juan loves is that guy.
Everytime Juan gets touchy, Qian looks flustered, as if he’s having his heart beat fast and his mind run wildly but again, he pushes him off naively. I’m pretty sure Qian is somewhat aware of the “strange” attachment Juan has towards him but chooses to ignore it since he’s a hard headed dummy lol.
That kiss at the end was so impulsive, but I can totally understand Juan’s feelings. Being in this sort of one-sided, forbidden love for so long can be agitating and make people work without forethought. So when they were talking about love, I think Juan became upset at knowing that Qian’s answer will never be what he wanted it to be, thus, he just gave in and thought there was no other chance but this. Preparing myself for the incoming angst…

I HATE 1 EPISODE A WEEK SO MUCH GOODNESS HEAVENS WHYYYYYYYYY DID THEY HAVE TO LEAVE US HANGING LIKE THAT AAAAAAA
I like that Yuan is proactively reading and relating to the novel “That Summer’s Sweet.” It’s interesting that the screenplay had Yuan lay down the novel he just read and recall his own memory that I assume may be relatable to the story. Hence, he was sniffling while reading then tilted his head back preventing his tears from spilling.
This episode for me is the constraint of communication between Qian and Yuan. It’s like the words are there but hesitant to express them.
They are bouncing their words back and forth between them.
Why is it such a challenge for them to talk ???
It’s obvious that Juan has a strong desire for Qian. I don’t think that Qian is oblivious to Juan’s constant stares and longing gazes. However, does it seem that Qian has an agenda spending time with Juan in boxing, biking, and fishing when it was just for two of them!? Lily stays home alone.

Again, their inquiries bouncing back and forth between them. I’m glad that Juan put an end to their idle conversationand made a move…🫢
Zhiyuan’s yearning…… The show did SO well in portraying Yuan’s silent longing. I don’t relate to Yuan but his little actions and internal dialogues made me really connect to him as if I fully understand his deep feelings.
Qian didn’t explicitly talk about Zhiyuan liking boys. But I guess it’s implied that it’s not a secret anymore between the two. Since Qian brought up the class monitor guy. [Please let me know though if that was just a pronoun mistranslation.]
Well, Zhiyuan’s smile is definitely that of someone who is in love. Other people sensed it too.
And for Qian, that’s the face of someone flustered and had his heart almost skipped a beat. I’m pretty sure he felt some butterflies every time Yuan gets too close, but of course he would not make a big deal out of it and just brush it off.
We’re going downhill guys from here on. Hold on tightly and prepare for the tears and angst that are coming starting next episode. 😂

Lili trying to explain what she saw in Yuan bedroom is too funny! When she said he was crying and there was nothing to even cry about had me laughing so much!! Yuan is ready for a relationship with Qian. Qian is definitely aware of Yuan feelings for him. I wish they would have shown the kiss! I bet Qian dodged that kiss at the last moment.

For me, this series carries such beautiful elements in the small details. It’s the double meaning and the depth of each scene that has me thinking WOW.. for instance, that scene of Qian teaching Yuan how to box, it’s clear that Yuan is struggling within the boxing ring. He’s lost focus in the battle Qian is initiating because he’s fighting an even bigger, complex battle inside him where one blow would either make or break everything between them. A battle within a battle.. enclosed by the ring where he cannot escape this strong desire for Qian..
Well damn, I am hooked and invested in this series. It has been a while since a series has had me in such a conundrum. It has me analysing every single scene, action and piece of dialogue, so that I can understand the psyche of each individual character. I thought that this would just be two adoptive brothers falling in love but I was so wrong because this is so much more. Qian is so much more than a brother he is a parent which now draws out the questions of, one, how will the writers circumvent that relationship dynamic to bring forth a digestible romantic relationship, two, if the parent role Qian has played in Yuan’s life will make the attraction and romance between them traumatic due to Qian’s own trauma regarding his mother, and three, how will they strike an understanding and how will the writers be able to adequately cement this relationship in regards to the reactions of their sister and their friends who are more like family. I am definitely intrigued and looking forward to seeing how this story will play out.
This series also calls out to the misinterpretation of the quote, “Blood is thicker than water”; the actual quote is, “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb”. Which means that the relationships we build with others regardless of blood relation are far more important and meaningful than those that are just because of blood’s sake. Sometimes a parent or a sibling does not need to be blood related; they just need that defined relationship that is built out of genuine love and concern.
I will save the longer comment for the finale for now I will just enjoy the ride.

Judging from the episode and the preview, the people close to them are starting to notice the shift in feelings Yuan is experiencing towards his brother. And Yuan isn’t necessary being low-key also 😏. With the way he’s literally been obsessed with his brother, it seems unlikely that Qian never noticed anything off. He might’ve possibly brushed it off because it is a “weird thing to happen”.
Yuan’s internal gay panic was hilarious to watch 🤭. But the boy is not holding back. The back hugs, bed hugs, almost kiss? He’s bolder than ever. His internal monologue everytime they were in close proximity was breath-taking. This love is unique. It has depth beyond layers. It is sincere and it is pure. This is the kind of love many long for, but not many get to experience 💕🥰

SPOILER… Our boy, Yuan is now officially a man at 18 yrs old. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!🥳🎈🎉 I expect that the romance part of this will start to pick up now bc for me, this whole ep was a slow seduction by Yuan👀 Yuan is falling deeper in love. The way he said in his mind with this longing look in his eyes and that hungry voice, ‘you took my hand and wrapped it, and wrapped it, round and round. Qian, can you just tie me to you like this?’ Whoa, that goes beyond deep desire and I shifted in my seat with a slight exhale🤭💓 I thought Yuan was going to explode with every touch during those hands-on boxing tutorial from Qian. Phew!😅 Poor thing, Yuan couldn’t focus on anything and most definitely didn’t want to hit the man he loves. Wanting to learn to protect him the way he (Qian) has protected him all those yrs.🥺 The way Qian started noticing the small changes in Yuan’s behavior was definitely something, but when little sis notices it so easily, you know Yuan isn’t hiding his crush very well. Lol! Ugh! How can they leave us hanging like this until next wk.!!!😏 Looks like Pang will also be in on the not-so-little secret next time😁 Next ep can’t come fast enough!!!
The cinematography and beautiful landscape was alluring on their unofficial “dates” this ep.💖 The look on Qian’s face this whole ep was – WHAT’S HAPPENING?!! 👀 AM I UNDERSTANDING THESE CUES CORRECTLY?!! Haha! 🤣🤣 It was too funny. It was so sweet how Yuan jumped at the chance to help Qian for a change with his ankle, driving, etc. As to say, I’m not a boy anymore to Qian. “Don’t worry, I’ll be very careful with you in my car”. Phew! I thought it was adorable how they were fishing (pun intended) about to see if they were into and dating anyone🥰 And that ending, if it’s real and not Yuan’s imagination running wild was beyond BRAVE😮😳😅
Qian has been picking up the ‘weird’ vibes between him and Yuan and has been brushing it off before but now that it’s getting harder and harder for him to ignore, he’s going to either try setting Yuan up with a girl, or find a lady for himself or put some distance between him and Yuan. Heck, he might even do all three.
It’ll be interesting to see how they’ve felt about each other up till now. I personally don’t have a problem with age gap relationships that are not between an adult and a child from the get go and where there is not grooming involved. It’s always a complicated one when two people start falling for each other when they were minors themselves, but because of the age gap there comes a point when one becomes an adult while the other is still not yet an adult. You add family dynamics to that as well and it just adds another layer of complexity. You add the saviour complex on top of that and it becomes even more complicated. Been there. 😩
