2. This drama is everything! Halfway to go for the ending. Getting myself ready for the upcoming tear jecking episodes. I really trust how Yi Tian chose his dramas. Can’t wait for your next project, HYT! And also, Jingyi, I think this is her first historical drama, and I wanted to congratulate her, you are doing great, ZJ!

4. Half of the road trip was pretty easy going. Only one fish died, a bandit got his rash treated, leader bandit granted amnesty to Mme. Hua the leader of her “marriage.” 💞😉😂😂😂
   Grandpa is going to love it when he sees his best girl and hear how well everyone is doing…..BUT …. All of the men (poor Grandpa 😔) will be sad about Granny’s death. 😭….tearful reunion coming up✨

7. The travel episodes were so overwhelmingly happy that I can’t help but dread some huge angst coming.

   I’ve also wondered at how the family dynamics will change when the men come home. Zhi’s father seems very patriarchal and I’m not sure how things will resettle after the women have supported themselves for so long

9. I am trying very hard to ignore the FL’s poor acting but damn….it’s hard! It’s like they thought she could carry the series just by her prettiness. I don’t know what exactly, but she has this one single vibe that she carries from one show to another and cannot shake it off regardless of how different the genres are…kinda reminds me of Song Hye Kyo but worse. At least SHK has refined her acting to not be too monotonous over the last couple of years but FL here still has some ways to go.

   I feel like this story would have turned out better with a different FL (and maybe a different ML too). Still watching for the plot though and cannot bear to just abandon the show.
