2. Su also got a chance to fix things, he ain’t brave this time either… in the first episode when the noble boys gathered, the princess directly asked him to marry her, he denied. If he had courage enough he should have grabbed that opportunity and tried to fix things afterwards. But he wants to keep his family safe, good ,understandable but his way of supporting consort rou’s son dosen’t look good in this time either, he also wants to keep the princess safe but even after spending so much time together in earlier life he dosen’t understand her ambitions or her wish to have power in hand a bit. Hope the princess gets over her internal conflict over love relationship(ronghua explained, also she thinks it’s better to be not swayed by emotions this time) and the lingering feelings towards rongqing.

3. That Rongqing sure is one cunning bastard, going all out to set up others and divert attention from his family… inveigling for a new Crown Prince?? Coercing Xie to frame Rong using his own son?? Damn, I feel like he is just beginning to show what he’s capable of.

   Loving WenXuan remaining calm and setting the line for Rongqing at every turn 🤣🤣🤣. That not-so-subtle display of intimacy that he and Rong share everything… even down to the same cup… letting his imagination run with that, haha. But when he flat out accused him of being the same as Wei, that he would also kill the one he loved for the sake of his family… I almost spit my tea, damn WenXuan, you have no behavior😁… Rong just looking on helplessly tho LOL. But Rong herself also effed up by reciting the history between Wei and Lin word for word as Rongqing told her back then🤦‍♀️ omg, I just knew it was his past-life self there too all along! Now he knows for certain she is her past-life self as well, even suspecting WenXuan too. Rong better pay attention to her instincts on him too (he’s given away so many hints tho, how does she seriously not know?). And is it just me but I’m getting a growing creepy and delulu parallelism between Su Rongqing and Shen YuRong from The Double… the deadly lengths they can go to and act justified about it the whole time… geez

5. Finally the writer confirms what we all suspected!
   I wonder now even more, was he really responsible for their deaths in the original timeline like they thought or was it someone else? If he was responsible, did he then take his own life in guilt or did someone else take him out?
   And of course, the final question…it seems he’s not evil, as he mentions wanting to protect his family and FL this time around, so once he confirms that FL and ML are also from the other timeline, will he join forces or work against them to force things towards his goals?

11. Old Xie’s statement represent the general view of Noble families, who despise people with poor background. They will never allow people with humble backgrounds take the throne. Thus, they despise young Pei. Yet, the noble families are not aware Su RongQing is supporting Concubine Rou and her son, to the throne.

13. If Su came back from the future too, does that mean he also died on the same night as the Princess and her husband? If so I wonder how. Did he kill himself out of guilt for killing his “love” for his “family” or was he murdered by another secret villain who we don’t know about yet. Either way I am interested in knowing how he died.

    As for his love for the Princess…. it’s the kind of love she doesn’t need. He wants to control her, limit her power and keep her out of politics in order to keep her safe.

    Her husband on the other hand wants her to accomplish her dreams even if they put her in danger because he knows he will always be there to protect her from any harm.

    With the Princess’s personality it is clear which man she will choose.

17. I wonder how Su Rongqing died. Judging by his feelings for Li Rong, there might be more to her death in the past. He wants to protect her right now, but he killed her in the past? It doesn’t make sense, but I am still yet to know.
    But even though I’m doubting Li Rong’s death, I am still fully convinced that Su Rongqing was behind Li Rong’s death.
    I hope Li Rong will not get swayed by Su Rongqing’s feelings😭 I don’t care if he has good intentions or not.

20. if the princess was able to tell after just one encounter with pei wx that he’s also living a 2nd life, she should be able to know for sure that su is too by now, they were even closer, and su ain’t hiding like that.
    my main problem with su apart from his superior attitude is that I detest what the princess is like when she’s around him. she’s like a duller, slower vs of herself, she even talks less too and like to hell with that, and to those 17 yrs with him that won’t stop dragging her down!
