  1. It a was a very feel good romance, but for me personally i wanted more of clarity and answers like who was Myung’s senior or why were they too much system error’s or how does only the lady remembers him and nobody else or do they intend to show in second season if there is. I know i should ignore these things for a good and cute series, but these things bother me. Also the abrupt cuts from a scene to another scene was little bit doing for me.

  2. Here’s my interpretation of the title Love for Love’s sake.

    1. Love genuinely: Tae Myungha fell in love with Cha Yeonwoo, beyond the mission. Of course, at the beginning, he was doing the mission because he is scared of the penalty “Death” and he didn’t want to die. But towards the end, it’s not just because he didn’t want to die; actually, he didn’t want to die because that means he will be separated from Yeonwoo. The countdown for his own life became the countdown of him and Yeonwoo being together, and more than his own life, it’s their time together that he didn’t want to end.

    2. Love unconditionally: I’m not sure if “unconditionally” is the right word here, but this second point is just about giving your most of love at the moment. Myungha’s way of thinking before is that “why love if it’s gonna end anyway“? And with Kyunghoon’s unintentional advice, Myungha realized that it does not matter if the relationship will end; the future is uncertain, you just have to love and live at the moment. If you know the time is ticking, then just enjoy the time you are together. There’s no “waste of time” in a moment where you genuinely shared love together. If you love someone, you just have to love them, regardless of what the future holds.

    3. Love for love’s sake: I guess this last point is the main lesson of Tae Myungha’s past life. He lived a lonely life because he didn’t know how to love and be loved. He tried to find that love from his mother who abandoned him when he was young but also rejected him later in life. Even though there are other people trying to love him, he didn’t know how to handle that love because he was used to being alone and independent. That’s why it was hard for him to rely on others. He realized, although very late, that the love he is looking for, for so long, is just within him. The story started with Myungha’s mission to “Make Cha Yeonwoo happy” but ended with a different mission which is to “Make Tae Myungha happy”. The game made Myungha realize that he needs to love himself so he can love others; that he needs to acknowledge his own wants (to have someone by his side and give him love -> to live, to stay with Yeonwoo). He realized that he too is capable of loving and is rightfully deserving of love; that he too deserves to be happy.

The final question in the game is “What’s crucial to a happy life?”

For my last point, I want to write here the words of Myungha in the ending scene, “I finally realized that every answer I had hoped for, was in everyday life that’s too mundane to be “fate” yet too beautiful to be “chance”. Happiness must be hidden somewhere in each of our days.”

Maybe love doesn’t always have to be grand or complex, so just love. To you who is reading this, I hope you live and love your life. 🙂

  3. I knew Sunbae would be some sort of entity to teach him a moral lesson 😌 In the end it was always a matter of his choices and wishes that led to their happiness. And Myung Ha was the main character of the game after all. I really love the concept format and message it carries. The plot was consistent despite short and the acting was fine, the characters were likeable and it was mostly about them and not other messy or unnecessary characters. I’ll be missing Yeo Woon’s soft killa pout and Sang Won sassy style. Finally a character that knows what he wants, to bad he was SML. He deserved a game of his own, just sayin’ 💅 I would watch it.

Thank you so much for recommending this, definitely worth watching. 🥰

  4. It was really sad what Myung-ha had to deal with his lonesome self. Like he told his sunbae that he and Yeowoon are alike, alone without parents but only his grandmother. After his grandmother passed away, Yeowoon loses desire to run and decides to injure his leg to quit the track and field team. Myung-ha took his own life after his grandma passed away and after seeing that his own mother denied him as she already had another family. 🥺

Idk who the sunbae was that has the power to let Myung-ha a second chance at life. I mean he let Myung-ha read his manuscript that he relates to the fictional character Yeowoon. Then miraculously send Myung-ha to a virtual world to rewrite his story with tasks that he was to complete or face the penalty. Those tasks apparently are guides for Myung-ha to live differently from his real life.

There are many funny as well as cute moments throughout the series, no toxicity only a few abusive and bullying scenarios. Myung-ha is an excellent uncle sunbae to the youth.
I love the first time that Myung-ha saw Yeowoon differently. I even agree that Yeowoon is cute when he pouts.

Grandma is my personal favorite person who meant a lot to Myung-ha. I could not stop smiling when she habitual smacks reprimanding his naughty behavior. 😆

Well, I am happy for another Kbl happy ending. In this case, it’s the first time in a bl series that I see ends with the protagonists racing time to meet up though it’s a cliche for most lovers in regular romances.

  5. Spoiler: From the get go, the premise of this show is intriguing… where reality and fiction intersect , you question which is which, whether all is but a dream. The way they dealt with the cinematic component to differentiate the different states(reality/game) the fact that the ‘game’ is based on the novel so Myungha has the whole back story, but somehow the story crosses over with his own life story- his home town, his grandmother + mother etc. it’s kind of like a second chance at life scenario , so it’s like fantasy fiction… not only for Myungha but also for him to give Yeowoon a second chance (from the scenarios according to the novel)…. And for both of them to find happiness… this show is also a statement about finding the love the that makes you happy and not being stigmatised by convention, which is usually what brings people down and makes them unhappy in the first place. This dealt with the fantasy side of things quite well, and all ended well that was also believable… love love love!!!

  6. This is a masterpiece and a beautiful series the chemistry the plot the acting everything was so freaking good a terrific strong start for kbls this year I enjoyed each and every episode cried my eyes out in the last episodes while the other episodes had me smiling and giggling…. Tae Myung Ha Chae Yeo Won and Chun Sang Won these are my babies I’m gonna miss them so much give me season 2 I want to see Sang Won happy and Kyung Hoon with his boyfriend

  7. the amount of emotions i was going through when yeowoon finally remember myungha.
the fact the first thing yeowoon did when he regained his memories of myungha was to look for him the way he was so desperate to find him out at any cost cuz he wanted to be someone myungha can rely on someone who can protect him and he tried his very best until the last moment 😭 and the part where all the rejection to myungha was revealed, i can see the pain

i’m glad they showed us myungha in real world cuz he was so lonely and sad all the time and he never even smiled once he was just going about life with the mindset of nothing is going to change and now how happy he is when he’s with yeowoon how much he feels alive and gets cared by yeowoon
the fact myungha actually died, his will (who wished for him to have a good life) is the one having the greatest time if his life with yeowoon. i’m literally in tears when i realized this😭💔
let me hug myungha tightly i feel so bad. 🙁

“i want to live! i want to live with yeowoon” that line literally made me cry
i’m sorry sunbae i doubted you cause the game was making errors and made myungha choose between grandma and yeowoon😭😭 but i think this is what he planned all this time, that’s the whole point of the sunbae sending him on this journey, he gave him a chance to find something and someone for himself and choose his happiness find his safe place cuz in his life he d-word at just 29 with regrets😭

this scene of them running together towards each other while you learn that all myungha wanted all these years in his life was for someone to love him and for him to love someone literally felt like i was holding my breath, i can feel that strong hug🥹😭🫂
everything about this scene was perfect!!🥹❤️

  8. year started with such an outstanding kbl
ah it is over so quickly, it’s a full 10/10 for me and love for love’s sake has officially entered in my top bls chart now.
yeowoon and myungha will always have a special place in my heart, i’m already missing them.
i’m so happy that all 4 of them specially my yeowoon and myungha got their happy ending as they deserve it, they able to find their happiness in the end despite their upbringings, their battle with depression and mental health condition, the drama gave such a good message to not give up and happiness will automatically find it’s way towards you.
the cinematography of the drama is so good, their chemistry is top notch, their friendship, acceptance and love build up is so natural and beautiful. i just loved the story concept and casts🥹❤️
but now i need a sangwon spinoff heheheheh.

  9. Mannnn wat a wild ride 🫨… but i really enjoyed it.

The server errors kept pissing me off despite its purpose. For a moment after we discovered what the purpose of all this was.. I thought Tae Myung Ha was sent back in time after he admitted he regretted his decision to die when he was 29. But I realized very quickly that u cant come back from death.. Instead Myung Ha got to have a 2nd chance at life nd obtain his happy ending with Cha Yeo Woon via an alternative reality.

The purpose of the “game” was actually to have Tae Myung Ha see his life shown to him via someone else’s perspective (Cha Yeo Woon). Almost like a test? The main goal was not only to find Cha Yeo Woon’s happiness but for Tae Myung Ha to realize he never thought about his own happiness. He would constantly prioritize everyone but himself, thus all the effort he put into making Yeo Woon happy. He spent the entire time filling Yeon Woo up with love that he wasn’t allowing himself to be happy nor accept love. That’s why his ex and Yeo Woon both felt they were in one sided relationships. Myung Ha needed to love himself as well, accept love from others, nd have another chance at life to love and be loved. Which with the help of Yeon Woo he finally realized this (though mad late legit the last few minutes of the game) but found the courage to run towards what he wanted nd not repeat the same mistake again.

  10. The editing and time skips was a bit confusing but still loved it. Gonna rewatch this weekend.

  11. what question is this… even from the most ancient times there were, it’s a well known fact, even same sex “sex”, it was always a thing. They just didn’t express themselves.
