I won’t complain actors are doing their job well
How did they get from A to B? It’s jumpy from ep 3 onwards and most greatly felt in ep 5.
I revisited the original Chinese uncensored version and watched it 3 times after finishing ep 4. The Chinese version is also slightly jumpy but not as bad as this.
They’re kinda squeezing the plot without a flow. There weren’t enough scenes on how things are connected, often dropping from the sky. If I didn’t know the story before, alot of things wouldn’t have made sense. The acting’s not doing justice to the characters in the novel too. Not enough stubbornness, not enough guts, not enough fighting spirit. Both mls so soft. They’re just following the script without acting the appropriate emotions that will lead to the consequences as we know them. It’s better for the production team to do a different spin off.
My gosh, after Hero said that he likes Pop more than a friend, he tried getting fresh with Pop whenever he saw an opportunity to do so.
He was reluctant untying Pop instead he acted cute which apparently did not work on Pop. 😆
Hero was denied a celebratory hug from Pop. 😝
He even tried getting a hand on Pop disguised as being a warm body hugging both Tien and Pop. Tsk tsk…😜
😜 Apparently, Hero’s kiss lingers on Pop’s lips. 💋
In the next episode, a war will be on between Hero and Pop’s ex-girlfriend fighting for Pop’s affection. 🤜💥🤛
I am about to be a real hater so please forgive me 🙏🏻
first of all, why is this over an hour long and feels so dragging? I got wore out just trying to finish this episode. Now I do like the storyline pacing because they got a lot to cover if they are going to get to the second book story and finish it by the end of the series, which I do think they are doing a good job with that. However, again I say the actual episode pacing is dragging way too much for my liking and sanity. Also, I know this sounds bad but, I wish they would have had August look his actual age and made him grow a little more muscle so his jealous intimidation to the others would look and actually seem a little more intimidating and not meh like it did in today’s episode. I am also starting to get a tad annoyed by pop and some of his mannerisms.
okay, now with all that said and done…. yes I know if i’m just complaining so much why am I still watching it every Tuesday? well here is the thing I already know that things should be picking up a lot more with the arrival of the ex-girlfriend and that there will be a lot of things done during that plot line and that it should be getting a lot better once they get to what happens at the end of Book 1 and moving into Book 2. So I am just hopeful it should be getting better is why I am still watching this series.
August nailed the kidnapping scene for me! The way he was psychotically touching Pop and telling he likes him.
I didn’t read the books, but saw the original Addicted, so aligning with that, I’m guessing ALL 15 eps worth of story has been completed! Always had this lingering feeling of not knowing remaining story of LuoYin and Gu Hai. So excited to see what happens next!
No, but why are they so TALENTED?! See the projects that they made…?! I would not be able to do that! My paper mache volcano and diorama for science fair and geology are probably looking at me in disappointment from wherever their souls are! We have Pop with his intelligence, Hero with his technical hands, Tiger with his innovative ideas, and even Only, who seems to be talented artistically. Honestly, if they all decide to start a business together, they could literally rule the local region’s business and industry that their business is based in.
Hero really TESTED Pop’s patience, nerves and restraint in the first half of the episode with his close skinship and proximity. LOL… Pop was literally fighting for his life – NOT to JUMP on Hero and have his way with him, especially after knowing how Hero feels about him [and the fact that it is mutual at this point].
ok. So, we’re back to the original story and we have the sexual assault stuff, again.
Kidnapping, tying someone up and forcing a kiss on them is not romantic. That Hero thinks this is something that one just accepts is totally toxic. I get that he only knows what he’s been modeled. I need the version of this story where he gets into some serious therapy.
This was the 3rd time I watched this scene but it still made me feel 🥺 Luo Yin/Su Yu/Pop wanted his father to find happiness but he also feared losing him. If not for the appearance of Gu Hai/Wu Bi/Hero, he might not be talking to his father about remarrying since he sort of wanted his father to love him only. But now he didn’t feel so lonely anymore even though he still feel sad that he lost his father because his heart knew that there was someone who would only love him forever (even though his brain might still be in denial for now) 🤭
